Franz Schubert : Trio in B flat major D.898
Joaquin Turina :  Trio"Circulo" opus 91
Maurice Ravel : Trio in A minor

Hoboken Trio created in 2003 by three young musicians fond of Joseph Haydn’s music, they adopted the name of Hoboken in reference to the Dutch musicographer who catalogued the composer’s work.

Among the last Haydn trios, the trio Hob XV.24 distinguishes itself by a constantly serious atmosphere of a quasi beethovenian fervour. The trio D.898 is the first work in which Schubert made use of such a combination of instruments, and he was apparently fully satisfied with it. In the trio "Circulo", Joaquin Turina describes the slow awakening and the first sounds of the morning, the growing intensity from rising sun till noon and the progressive calm of a peaceful morning. The trio by Ravel was created during the First World War. The first movement is around a Basque theme, the second movement refers to an oriental poetic form : the "pantoum" with two alternating themes.
