Ludwig van Beethoven: Piano concerto N°4 in G major op.58
Reduction for Piano and string quintet

The title “The Trout” of the Schubert quintet derives from the fourth movement of the work: five variations on the theme of the famous lied.

The version of the fourth piano concerto by Beethoven for piano and string quintet has been rediscovered and completed in the XXe century by Hans-Werner Küthen.
The arrangement of the piano part is from the hand of Beethoven.
