From Classical Music to Jazz


Laurent Korcia: Taken under the wing of Pierre Barbizet from his early age, Laurent Korcia studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris where  he received a First Prize; he continued is studies at the Royal College of Music in London, where he was awarded the Queen Elizabeth. At the age of eighteen, he won the Paganini Competition in Genoa, he also won a Grand Prix at the Concours Jacques Thibaud, a first prize at the International Zino Francescatti Competition and was laureate of theYoung Concert Artists Trust in London. Laurent Korcia performs regularly with leading European orchestras with conductors such as Semyon Bychkov, Jean-Claude Casadesus, , Charles Dutoit, Valery Gergiev, Kurt Masur, John Nelson, Manuel Rosenthal, Yan-Pascal Tortelier …
He is one of the rare contemporary violinists to include solo violin recitals in his concert repertoire, with programmes ranging from Bach to contemporary music

Elodie Soulard: She began studying the accordion at the age of six. She entered Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris where she obtained her “Premier Prix” with distinction in 2010, then was accepted in post-graduate studies under the direction of  pianist and conductor Jean-François Heisser. Her repertoire is wide ranging, from transcriptions of works for piano, organ or orchestra (from Bach to Prokofiev) to original works for studies her instrument .
A passionate chamber musician, she has been worked with artists such as Emmanuel Pahud, Laurent Korcia,  and cellist Raphaël Pidoux. She also plays with Les Siècles Orchestra.
