Giovanni Battista Pergolesi
Stabat Mater

Henry Purcell
Music for the funeral of Queen Mary, Z 860

The Stabat Mater by Pergolesi is the last work of the composer, written two months before his death. With its arias and duets, it is built in the pure style of Italian cantatas. The work by Purcell includes two instrumental parts: March and Canzone, and a central vocal one: the Anthem. The "Ensemble instrumental de Dordogne" is composed with professional musicians  from the Department or the Region, and with national or international invited artists. It participates in the cultural development of Dordogne Department.

The "Paratge Choir" founded in "Musica au Molin" actively participates in the goals of this association: promotion of musical art through the organization of training courses, of concerts and of public manifestations around vocal and instrumental music. In its repertory: works of large forms such as Requiem by W.A. Mozart, or The Messiah by G.F. Handel, and pieces for more restricted works such as the Geistliche Chöre by A. Bruckner.
